Russian pipe output surges in first 7 months

According to the data from Russia industry and trade department, the output of carbon pipe & tube in Russia was around 5.041 million tons in the first seven months of 2010, up by 38.5 percent compared with the same period of last year.

Meanwhile, the output of Russian large diameter welded pipe and seamless pipe also increased by 76.2 percent and 30.9 percent respectively year-on-year.

The demand for steel pipe is soaring for end users in Russia such as oil, natural gas, machinery and construction industries
